  1. If you haven't installed the app yet, you can do so from the App Store (iPhone and iPad) or Play Store (Android).
    • The first time you open the app, you'll be prompted to sign in with your Delta account.
    • If you don't know your Known Traveler Number (KTN), you can look it up on the TSA PreCheck KTN lookup website.[1]
  2. You'll find it at the bottom of the app.
    • When you use this method, you'll be adding your KTN to your Delta profile, which ensures all future Delta reservations automatically add your TSA PreCheck information to upcoming reservations.

  3. This is the third tab at the top of the app.
  4. This expands your personal details, including the place where you can enter or edit your Known Traveler Number (KTN).
    • If you have already entered your KTN, either on the Delta website or in the app, you will see it under "Secure Flight Info".
  5. You'll be prompted to add your secure flight numbers, including your KTN, Redress, and Canadian Travel numbers.
  6. This saves your Known Traveler Number to your Delta profile. Your KTN will be synced to existing reservations within 24-36 hours of adding it to your account.[2]
    • If your KTN doesn't appear in your upcoming reservations within 36 hours, or if your flight leaves before then, you will also need to add your KTN to your existing reservation. To do so, tap Trips at the bottom, select your trip, select the traveler, and enter it there.
    • If you've booked a flight through a travel service like Expedia or Orbitz, you will need to add your KTN to those services.

  1. Go to www.delta.com and sign in. You can use any web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet to add your Known Traveler Number (KTN) to your Delta profile.[3]
    • If you add your KTN to your Delta profile on the web, it will also sync to the Fly Delta mobile app.
  2. You'll see your name at the top-right corner of the page.[4]
  3. It's the second option under "Personal Details."[5]
  4. This is the 9-digit number provided to you during your TSA application process. It usually begins with TT if you applied through the TSA PreCheck Application program.[6]
    • If you lost your KTN, you can look it up on the TSA PreCheck KTN lookup website.[7]
    • If you're approved for Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI, use the CBP PASSID, which is the number that usually begins with 15, 98, or 99 on the back of your card. You'll also find your PASSID in your account information on the Trusted Traveler Programs website.
  5. Your PreCheck number is now saved to your profile.
    • If the name on your Delta account doesn't match what's on your driver's license or passport, you won't be able to use PreCheck.[8] If you need to update your name in your profile, fill out the Identity Verification form at delta.com/contactus/identityVerification to get things sorted out.
    • If your KTN doesn't appear in your upcoming reservations within 36 hours, or if your flight leaves before then, you will also need to add your KTN to your existing reservation. To do so, click your name at the top-right, select My Trips, choose your trip and traveler, and add the KTN there.
    • If you've booked a flight through a travel service like Expedia or Orbitz, you will need to add your KTN to those services.

FAQ

  1. 1
How do you add TSA Precheck to an existing Delta reservation? If you add your KTN to your Delta profile, it should sync to your existing reservations within 36 hours. If it doesn't, you can add your KTN to an existing ticket by selecting Trips (or My Trips on the website), choosing your reservation, selecting the traveler, and entering the KTN in the passenger details.[9]
  2. 2
Why isn't my TSA PreCheck showing on my Delta boarding pass? If you don't see the KTN on your boarding pass, contact the Delta desk at the airport to receive an updated boarding pass. Your KTN may not appear if you booked the flight through a different service (like Expedia or Travelocity) and didn't add your KTN through that service, if your name doesn't match your TSA PreCheck details, or if you wait too long to add your KTN to your Delta account.[10]
  3. 3
Should my mobile boarding pass say TSA PreCheck on it? If you've added your KTN to your Delta account and it appears in your reservation, it will also appear on your boarding pass. If you don't see it on your boarding pass, head to the check-in desk at the airport for help.

Tips

  • If the name on your ID is not the same as what the TSA has on file for you, you will need to contact your enrollment provider (Clear, Idemia, or Telos). If you don't know which enrollment provider you used, you can look it up on the KTN lookup website.[11]
  • If you add your KTN too close to your travel date, you might not see the TSA PreCheck logo on your boarding pass. In this situation, you can talk to a Delta representative at the airport to make sure your TSA security check goes smoothly.
  • If you also fly with other airlines like Southwest or American Airlines, be sure to add your KTN to your profile with those services as well.
