Favorite Piece of Advice

Nick often encourages people to slow down and truly sit with music, rather than treating songs like background noise. When you give an album your full attention, you start noticing the details, emotions, and artistic choices that make it meaningful. Music hits harder when you create space to really experience it.

Initial thoughts on Justin Bieber's "Swag" album?
"Swag" kind of came out of nowhere. I thought it was better than his last album, which felt too long, and there weren't many songs that I enjoyed. "Swag" definitely was a step up from his last work, although I still think he needs to make something more cohesive and shorter to make more of an impact. In my opinion, he's just not really an album artist.
Why are people upset about Sabrina Carpenter's album cover?
I think some people were a bit shocked when the cover came out, because there aren't many mainstream artists creating covers where there's a strong implication that is so in your face. I did not take offense to it, and wasn't weirded out by it. I thought it was punny given the album title paired with her posing with a "dog on a leash" suggestion, which goes hand in hand with the phrase "man's best friend," typically being about dogs. There was also a lot of puppy imagery associated with the album rollout and music videos.

She has the freedom as an artist to do whatever she wants, and ultimately, people talking about it is only going to sell more albums for her.

I think it was a win for her personally, and I think she bought into it and played into the controversy of it all well. She owned it, embraced it, and carried on. Go off, Sabrina. Good job.
What're the best songs about loving someone you can't be with?
"Back to December" by Taylor Swift is a prime example. I think it's speculated to be written about Taylor Lautner, but it's about owning a mistake; you left somebody and then once time has passed, you realize you made a mistake and now you can't be with that person anymore.
