How many followers do I have to have on Instagram to start making money?

On Instagram, you're usually considered a micro-influencer if you have over 10,000 followers. You're a macro-influencer if you have over a million. However, there are also different levels in between. Up until 100,000 followers, you usually receive some free products now and then and some modeling gig if you fall into that niche. However, true monetization really starts through partnerships that start appearing at 100K+ followers.

How many hashtags should I use on each Instagram post?

The average number of tags is around 11, but some people use up to 30. I think when you're first starting out you should use 30 since they're your way to be discovered.

What are the best hashtags to use?

Don’t use hashtags like #beauty or #fashion since they're already on millions of posts. If you’re not big, you won't be discovered there. Within seconds, your post will fall 50,000 pictures down. Instead, make specific tags. Maybe even create a personal tag that people can relate to.
