Easy ways to block a Teams user on desktop or mobile

Are you dealing with someone on Microsoft Teams that you really don't want to talk to? If so, you may be wondering if you can block them. If you're on Microsoft Teams Free, the answer is yes, and it's pretty easy to do so. However, if you use Teams through your organization, you can't block someone else in your organization—the most you can do is hide or mute the conversation. In this article, we teach you how to do all of this and more.

Blocking on Microsoft Teams

If you're using Teams Free, you can block another user by going to their profile and clicking the options menu button, then selecting Block. If you're using Teams through your organization, you can't block other users. The only workarounds are to mute or hide the chat with the person you wish to block.
