Steps
How to Cut the Short Chris Hemsworth Haircut
-
1Start by washing your hair. Before you start cutting the hair, you want to make sure that it’s clean and not weighed down by any dirt, grime, or product. So, grab some shampoo and head over to a sink or shower to start washing your hair. Then, rinse the shampoo out and condition your hair. Let the conditioner sit for two minutes, then rinse it.[10]
-
2Part your hair using a comb to section it. After washing your hair, grab a fine-toothed comb and part your hair to separate the top and bottom sections. Once you part it, comb each section away from the part (comb the hair below the part towards your neck and the hair above the part towards the top of your head).[11]
-
3Blow-dry your hair and cut a taper fade. Use a blow dryer to dry your washed hair, then grab a pair of clippers to create a baseline on the lower sides and back of your head for your taper fade. As you make your way up towards the part, add gradually longer guards with the level open to make guidelines. Then, use the clippers to blend the guidelines and create your taper fade.[12]
-
4Use #0 guard clippers to create an undercut, then trim the blend with scissors. After cutting the taper fade, use a pair of #0 guard clippers on the lower sides and back of the fade to create an even more blended look. Building out this blend will create the undercut. Once you’ve got the undercut, grab a comb and use it to lift the area where the fade starts to get longer. Then, use a pair of scissors to trim the hair in the comb.[13]
-
5Comb the top of your hair to the side and trim. Release the top of your hair from the section you made earlier and comb it off towards the left or right side. Then, grab a pair of scissors and trim the overhang, starting from the back and working your way down towards the front in a straight diagonal line. As you work your way down, use your fingers to section off the hair and make it easier to keep things uniform.[14]
-
6Continue trimming the overhang, gradually shifting lengths. Bring the hair towards the center of the head and trim it to about 95 mm (3.74 in). Then, grab your comb and bring the overhang back to the side, gradually making your way up in a diagonal line towards the back as you continue trimming. As you trim, use your comb to bring the top hairs up, then cut them to 60 mm (2.36 in).[15]
-
7Comb the long hair over your forehead so it slightly hangs. Now that you’ve got the haircut like Chris Hemsworth, use a comb (or your fingers) to bring the longer section of hair over your forehead so it sits as Hemsworth’s does. If you do it correctly, the hair should gradually curl into the rest of your hair, like a wave.[16]
