You can delete a comment on your own post and on a Facebook page (as long as you have the proper permissions). You can also remove comments that you've posted, but you cannot delete comments they've left on posts you didn't create. Here's how to delete comments or posts on Facebook on the Facebook app.

  1. This can be found on your profile. To navigate there, tap your profile picture at the top of your feed.
    • If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address and password to do so now.
  2. A pop-up menu will open.

    • To open a page, tap your profile in the top-right. Tap See all profiles, and select the Page.
    • You must have the Admin or Editor role to delete comments from the Page.[1]
  2. A pop-up menu will open.

  4. This will confirm the action.
    • If you want to hide the comment, select Hide from the pop-up menu instead. Keep in mind that hidden comments will still be visible to the person who posted it and their friends.

    • If you want to delete a post on a Page, make sure you have the proper permissions.
  2. This is on the right side of the post.
  3. This is towards the bottom of the pop-up menu.
  4. The post will be deleted.
    • The post will be moved to the trash. You'll have 30 days to recover the post if needed.
