Even though it's pretty easy to delete your TikTok videos one by one, there's no simple way to delete multiple TikToks in the TikTok app. Whether you want to delete all your TikTok videos at once or just a big chunk of them, there are some simple ways to make the process less tedious, such as making multiple videos private or using a third-party tool like Redact. Read on to learn the fastest and most effective ways to delete multiple TikToks at once on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.
How do you delete multiple TikToks at once?
While there's no way to mass delete TikToks in the app, you can make multiple videos private so nobody can see them except you. On your profile, go to ☰ > Activity center > Manage post visibility, select the videos, and tap Next. From there, select Only you, then tap Update to make the selected posts private.
Steps
-
Open your TikTok profile. There is no way to select multiple TikToks to delete, but you can select multiple TikToks to make private! This trick makes it easy to select some or all of your TikTok videos and change their privacy so that nobody can see them except you.[1] To get to your TikTok profile, just tap the Profile icon at the bottom-right corner of the TikTok app.
- This is a lot less tedious than deleting TikToks one by one, though they'll still technically be saved to your account.
-
Tap the menu ☰. You'll see it at the top-right corner of your profile.Advertisement
-
Tap Activity center. This is where you will find multiple options, including your watch history and post visibility settings.
-
Tap Manage post visibility. It's toward the bottom of the menu.
-
Select the TikToks you want to delete. You can filter your videos to display All of them, videos visible to Everyone, or those only visible to Friends using the tabs at the top of the screen. To select multiple videos to delete (make private), just tap the circles next to each video.
-
Tap Next at the bottom. This will prompt a pop-up menu containing 3 visibility options.
-
Select Only you and tap Update. This makes all the selected videos private. Now, when people view your TikTok profile, these videos will no longer be visible.[2]
-
Install Redact on your Windows or Mac computer. While TikTok doesn't have a built-in way to delete multiple videos at once, you can use a tool called Redact to get the job done on your PC or Mac. To get the app, go to redact.dev and click Download Redact. Once downloaded, double-click the downloaded file, then follow the on-screen instructions to install.
- Although Redact will mass delete tweets for free, you'll have to pay to delete multiple TikToks with the tool.[3] The cost is $7.99/month, which is billed once yearly at $95.88.[4]
- To upgrade Redact so you can access the TikTok extension, open the Redact app after installing, click Get Premium, and follow the on-screen instructions.
-
Install the Redact extension for Chrome. You'll also need to install a browser extension to delete TikToks with Redact.[5] Open Chrome on your computer and go to the Redact.dev extension page. Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension to install it in your browser.[6]
- If you don't have Chrome, you can download it from Google.
-
Make Chrome your default web browser. If you use a different web browser normally–like Safari for Mac or Edge on Windows–you will need to make Chrome your default browser temporarily so the Redact extension will work on TikTok.[7] Here's how:[8]
- On a Mac, open Chrome and go to ⋮ > Settings > Make default.
- On Windows 11, open the Start menu and go to Settings > Default Apps. Under "Set defaults for applications", type chrome, click Google Chrome, and click Set default.
- On Windows 10, open the Start menu and go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Click your current web browser (e.g., Edge, Firefox) and select Google Chrome.
-
Log in to your TikTok account in Chrome. Head over to TikTok.com in Chrome, click Log in, and sign in with your TikTok username and password.
-
Open the TikTok tool in Redact. Once you're signed in to your TikTok account, open Redact, click Services in the left panel, and select TikTok Extension. Then, click TikTok Extension in the left panel to open the tool.
-
Connect the TikTok extension to your account. On the TikTok Extension screen, click Connect Extension. Once connected, you can click I'm Ready to save the connection.[9]
-
Select which videos to delete. Click Videos at the top first. Then, if you want to delete all your TikToks at once, skip to the next step. If you only want to delete certain TikToks, click the Advanced tab at the top-right, then choose an option such as:
- Delete all private TikTok videos
- Delete all public TikTok videos
- Delete all TikToks with view counts under or over a certain number of viewers
- Keep pinned TikToks while deleting everything else
-
Preview your deletion. Select Preview Mode if not already selected, then click Start Previewing to give your settings a test run. This allows you to see which videos Redact will be deleting en masse from your TikTok account without actually deleting them.
- If needed, go back and make changes to your preferences before you actually delete the videos.
-
Delete the TikTok videos. When you're ready, click Deletion Mode, then click Start Deleting to bulk delete your TikTok videos.
-
Go to your TikTok profile. If you want to make sure multiple TikToks disappear forever (and don't want to pay for it!), you can delete videos manually. Tap the Profile icon at the bottom-right corner of the TikTok app to get started.
- Tip: You may find deleting multiple TikToks at once easier by logging in to TikTok on a computer. Just sign in to your account, open a video you want to delete, click ••• next to your account name, then select Delete. You won't have to do as much swiping and tapping this way!
-
Select the video you want to delete. This opens the video full-screen.
-
Tap the ••• . It's at the bottom of the video.
-
Tap Delete and then Delete again to confirm. You may need to scroll to the right on the menu to find the "Delete" option, which has a trashcan icon. Once the video is deleted, it will no longer be visible on your profile.[10]
- Deleted TikToks remain in your "Recently Deleted" folder for 30 days after deletion. If you change your mind within 30 days, you can undelete videos by going to your profile > ☰ > Settings and privacy > Activity center > Recently deleted, selecting a video, and tapping Restore.
