The November 2025 Fisch update has dropped—and with it, the Dreambreaker Rod. If you’re eager to get your hands on this slick new Rod, we’ve got you covered! It’s a bit of a lengthy process to unlock the Dreambreaker (involving several quests and lots of fishing), but we’ll walk you through the whole thing. We’ll also give you an in-depth look at the Rod’s stats and abilities. So, keep on reading for a complete guide to the Dreambreaker Rod and how to get it.

Quick Steps to Unlock the Dreambreaker Rod

  1. Go to the Cultist’s Lair area and get the Restless One’s quest.
  2. Repair all 5 fragments of the Dreamer’s Amulet and deliver it to the Restless One.
  3. Collect a Lucid Enchant Relic, Lucid Speed Core, Lucid Cathulid, Phantom Cathulid, and a Lucid Leviathan (or Profane Leviathan).
  4. Reach level 500 and collect C$10,000,000.
  5. Deliver all quest items to the Restless One in exchange for the Dreambreaker Rod.

How to Get the Dreambreaker Rod in Fisch

  1. Unlocking the Dreambreaker Rod requires completing every NPC’s quest in the Cultist’s Lair first. To get there, use the Fisch GPS to find the Sea Traveler on Terrapin Island. Collect his note, and follow the coordinates to the Cultist Lair. Once inside, find the NPC to the right of the central pool (the “Restless One”) and talk to him; he’ll task you with bringing him the Dreamer’s Amulet.[1]
    • The Sea Traveler’s coordinates are 151, 150, 2033.
    • The coordinates for the cave that leads to the Cultist’s Lair are 0, 150, 2000.
  2. Unfortunately, you can’t just find the Dreamer’s Amulet and bring it back; you’ll have to collect five different amulet fragments by completing the quests of every other NPC in the area. Once you have the fragments, bring them to the Lair’s Sanctum area and interact with the Amulet NPC. She’ll give you the finished Dreamer’s Amulet, which you can then deliver to the Restless One.[2]
    • The five amulet fragments are:
      • Maelira's Amulet Fragment
      • Eldran’s Amulet Fragment
      • Kareth’s Amulet Fragment
      • Sythra’s Amulet Fragment
      • Varn’s Amulet Fragment

  3. For this part of the quest, you’ll need to craft a Lucid Rod! To do this, gather the Lunar Thread, Lucid Reel, and the Cursed Torch Scrap Metal. Bring them to the Ancient Archives (along with C$80,000) to make your new rod. Then, use the Lucid Rod to do some fishing—it doesn’t matter where. With this rod, you’ll be able to find an Enchant Relic with the Lucid mutation on it![3]
    • This is currently the only way to get a Lucid Enchant Relic in Fisch.
  4. Once again, you’ll need your Lucid Rod for this! Go fishing in the waters near Sunstone Island with your Lucid Rod to catch a Speed Core with the Lucid mutation on it. Then, you can return the Lucid Speed Core to the Restless One (or hold onto it until you’ve collected everything you need).[4]
  5. Next, travel to the Hall of Whispers or the Passage of Oaths (in the Cultist Lair area) to do some fishing with your Lucid Rod. These are the two locations in which you can catch a Cathulid—with the Lucid mutation, of course—in Fisch.
  6. At this point, you’ll need to unlock the Eidolon Rod within the Sanctum area of the Cultist Lair. Interact with all the Obelisks in the Cultist Lair to gain access to the Eidolon Rod (you’ll still need to buy it for C$5,000,000, so come prepared with the appropriate funds)! Then, use the Rod to fish in the Hall of Whispers or the Passage of Oaths so you can catch a Phantom Cathulid.[5]
    • The Eidolon Rod has a 35% chance of applying the Phantom mutation to a catch, so it shouldn’t take you too long to get your Cathulid!
  7. Head back to the Sanctum and place the appropriate fish on the pedestals around the pool to summon a Leviathan Hunt event. You’ll need a Solarblaze Cathulid, a Nova Cathulid, a Rainbow Cluster Cathulid, an Aurora Cathulid, and a Purified Cathulid. During the Leviathan Hunt event, use your Lucid Rod to catch a Leviathan with the Lucid mutation on it.[6]
    • Solarblaze Cathulid - Catch during an Eclipse, or with the Fang of the Eclipse Rod
    • Nova Cathulid - Catch using the Rod of the Cosmos
    • Rainbow Cluster Cathulid - Catch with the Rainbow Cluster Rod
    • Aurora Cathulid - Catch with the Aurora Rod, or during an Aurora Borealis
    • Purified Cathulid - Catch a cathulid with the Amber mutation and bring it to the Chiseler
    • There’s also a 10% chance to summon the Profane Leviathan Hunt. A Profane Leviathan will also work, so you can wait until you unlock this special event or just use the Lucid Rod during a regular event.
  8. The final requirements to unlock the Dreambreaker Rod are fairly straightforward: you must be at least level 500, and you must give the Restless One C$10,000,000 (along with all the other required items you’ve collected). So, make sure you meet the above requirements before returning to him!
  9. Go back to the Cultist’s Lair and the central pool area where the Restless One is waiting, and give him all the prerequisites discussed above. In exchange, he’ll give you the Dreambreaker Rod. Congratulations: you’ve completed the Restless One’s entire questline and unlocked your new Rod!

Best Enchants for the Dreambreaker Rod in Fisch

  1. Because the Dreambreaker rod already has decently balanced stats, the enchants you apply to it should focus on the quality of your catches. For instance, you could use enchants that’ll enable you to catch bigger fish or make faster catches. This means enchants such as Cryogenic and Sea Overlord can be great for the Dreambreaker rod. Here’s an in-depth list of enchants to consider:[9]
    • Cryogenic: Grants a 20% chance to freeze fish in the first second
    • Flashline: Grants a 20% chance to get +80% progress speed, and an 80% chance to get +20% progress speed
    • Momentum: Grants a 2% increase to Lure Speed, Resilience, and Progress Speed with every perfect catch (up to a maximum 30% increase)
    • Sea Overlord: Grants a 40% increase in fish size with every catch
    • Sea Prince: Grants +15% fish weight (best when paired with Sea Overlord)
    • Sea King: Grants +35 fish size with every catch (can also be paired with Sea Prince)
