If you’re making your own therian mask, I recommend starting with something simple like cardboard, or if accessible, a cat mask base (which you can buy online). With basic materials like hot glue, scissors, an X-Acto knife, and cardboard, you can begin experimenting.
Cardboard is especially great because it's free and disposable. If you mess up, there’s no big loss. It lets you practice the foundational techniques without spending a lot of money. You can get really creative with it and, if you end up liking what you make, then invest in more advanced materials later. There are a lot of tutorials online—I’ve even made some myself. That’s actually how I got my start in this community: making a mask tutorial out of cardboard.

get a cat mask base and sticky back felt it is sooo much easier than using a glue gun and you can make it smoother and fix mistakes easier. if you have a snout it is a lot hearder so you could make a snoutless version if you are lazy lol. fake fur and stuff then get some eye mesh (i use embroidery fabric) and paint it for eyes and thats kinda it :)

I need a video to do things or it looks bad lol. I'm a therian and my theriotype is a fox. I only have one mask and I left it at my bffs house, which is rigged. Lol. Anywho,...... I'm so awkward😭 anyways I am obsessed with foxes and cats and I can't choose which one should be my theriotype. I have a lot of things about cats and foxes. I stay up all night, I love boxes (idk why), I love tight spots, I hear really well, I'm playfull, I want to hunt a lot. Idk lololol

Not being rude or anything, but your not a therian if you CHOOSE your theriotypes... Like that's just not how it works... So if you don't know your theriotypes just take a quiz to see if you are a therian first then if you are take a quiz to see what your theriotypes is. Again not being rude. That's just not how it works.

like vampire finn said you don't choose your theriotype. If you want to choose be otherlink and if you don't identify as an animal you identify WITH one youre otherhearted (i hope that helped). so I'm gonna pretend you said you don't know your theriotype. you can have more than one so you could be a cat AND fox. also about hearing really well, please remember a theriotype doesn't affect your physical body or abilities :)

I’m sorry, but you CAN’T choose your theriotype. You have to take a quiz or see online which theriotype you are. If you choose your theriotype, then you are not a therian. Sure, you might be obsessed with cats and foxes, but you can’t choose those animals, you have to know by search. Just like what Finn said, that’s not how it works
