How do I get grease stains out of my clothes?
So, I was cooking earlier today and I didn’t realize it at the time, but I got this big splash of bacon grease on my favorite shirt. The stain is kind of fresh but not that fresh, if that makes sense? Google said I should use dish soap, but I really want to make sure I pick a solution here that will actually work since I genuinely love this shirt. What should I do?
How to check for potential bed bug infestation in my house?
I truly, deeply hate to say it...but I'm afriad that I have bed bugs. I haven't found a beg bug YET, but I've been waking up itchy all week. I'm concerned there could be an infestation because I've heard if there's one there's usually many. How do I check for bed bugs? More importantly, what do I do?? Thank you so much!
How do I unshrink clothes I accidentally shrunk?
Asking for a friend here....I accidentally put one of my favorite shirts through the dryer when it's supposed to air-dry, and it totally shrunk. I'd really love to wear it again, but it just doesn't fit right anymore. Do I have to give this shirt up and get a new one, or is there some way I can unshrink it again without it looking weird?
How can I clean suede shoes without damaging them?
I love my suede shoes and wear them everywhere, but I recently noticed that they're looking a little dingy and have a couple small stains on them. I've heard that washing them or using water is a big no-no, but I don't know what I can use then. What are my options to make my shoes look like new?
Help! What's the best way to get rid of ants?
I’m going nuts here. Every morning I wake up and find dozens of ants wandering around in my kitchen and living room. It doesn’t seem to matter how many traps I set out or how deep I clean my home to get rid of food scraps or whatever the ants seem to be after. Does sugar water get rid of ants? I feel like I heard something like that somewhere but I have no clue if any of that stuff actually works. What will actually solve this problem? I don’t even hate ants like that, but leave my living space alone, ya know?
Roaches are ruining my life. How do I get rid of them?!
I recently moved into a new apartment and discovered there are roaches. We're pretty good about keeping tidy but we've gone into clean overdrive since discovering the roaches. But I'm not sure it's working. We see at least a few a week. We are pretty quick to spray them and have set traps up for them. At what point do I call a pro? What else can I do myself?
How to clean my Keurig with vinegar?
Hey all! I was gifted a fancy Keurig a few months ago and I’ve been absolutely loving it! It does appear to be getting about that time for a cleaning, though. There’s that chalky white stuff building up in the machine and I’m guessing that means it’s time to clean it. I read online that most people use white vinegar for this, but I’ve never actually done it so I thought I’d ask here: how do you all clean your Keurig with vinegar? What should I do? Are there any tips or tricks I should know about?
My shoes smell BAD. How do I get rid of the stink?
No matter what I do, I just can NOT get rid of the awful foot smell in my shoes. I've sprinkled baking soda inside them and tried putting them in the wash, but they are still SO stinky. Please tell me there's a way to make the smell go away!
How to keep stray cats out of my yard
Hello wikiHow! I’ve read some of the guides you fine folks have written in the past and they were really helpful, so I figured this would be a good place to seek help with my current predicament. I live in an area that has developed quite the population of stray cats. They mess with my plants, they harass the other wildlife that hangs out in my yard, and they’re so loud. Does anyone have any guidance on how to get rid of these cats without doing anything harmful to them or hurting other animals on accident?
