Best way to clean cast iron skillet w/o ruining seasoning?
I got a cast-iron pan for my birthday and I've been getting really into cooking with it, but I'm scared of ruining it! I've heard water can ruin the seasoning, but I'm not sure how to clean it then, especially after cooking something really messy or greasy. Any tips for a cast-iron newbie?

Water won't drain from sink with garbage disposal
The garbage disposal works, but the water won't drain from the sink. When I take off the u-shape pipe, the water drains; and when I put it back on, the water backs up again. I checked the drainage pipe that extends beyond ghe u-shape pipe, and there were no cloggs in the pipe. I don't know how a pipe gets clogged since the garbage disposal chops materials up into little pieces.

Need encouragement (living on my own)
I tried living with my best friend for 1 1/2 years and it wasn't a good idea because we have different living habits and I realized I missed living by myself. I'm saving money to move out, it'll take approximately 2 months. She's a great person but I am stressed because on top of not being able to live together her cat dominates the house and scares my cat to the point she only wants to stay in a small bedroom. My friend is great as a best friend but she's lazy and needy. I want to feel encouraged that living again on my own will make me happy. But I just need to know if anyone else has experienced this. I'm building resentments toward her and that is why leaving will save our 28 year friendship
