Forwarding is a relatively new Discord feature that allows you to send a message from one Discord server to another, without needing to screenshot the message or copy and paste it. It's a handy feature, but many Discord users want to know if they can forward multiple messages at once. Although several articles claim that you can, unfortunately, you cannot. In this article, we'll go over forwarding messages in Discord and what you can do to forward multiple messages. Keep reading to learn more.
Steps
Forwarding a Discord Message (Desktop)
-
Locate the message you want to forward. You can forward a message in any server, even private servers. There's currently no way to disable message forwarding in your server.
-
Hover the message. You'll see a menu appear on the right-hand side of the message.
-
Click the arrow button. When you hover this arrow, it'll say "Forward."
-
Choose the server(s) you want to send the forwarded message to. You can send a forwarded message to up to five locations at once. If you want to send it to more than five locations, you'll need to forward the message again.
-
Click Send. The blue Send button is at the bottom of the forwarding pop-up, and it'll say in parentheses how many locations you're sending the forwarded message.[1]
- If you want to forward more than one message, repeat the steps above for each message you want to forward.

Moving All Messages to Another Channel
-
Add a bot that can move messages to your server. One bot that can do this is the interchannel message mover bot. The steps in this section will be for this bot specifically, but the steps should be applicable no matter which bot you use—you'll just need to swap any text commands to match the commands for the bot you're using.
- To add the bot to your server, click Invite, then choose the server you want to add it to in Discord. Click Continue, and then Authorize.
- You must be a server owner or admin to add bots.
-
Find the first message that you want to move. If you want to move all the messages in a channel, scroll up until you've found the top message.
-
Right-click the message. If you're on a Mac, you may need to hold down Ctrl while you click.
-
Hover over Apps. You'll see two options: move message and move this message and below. Click the option you want to use.
- Move message will move only the message you've right-clicked on to the channel of your choice.
- Move this message and below will move that message and all of the messages underneath it to the channel of your choice.
-
Choose the channel you want to move the messages to. Click the dropdown and choose the desired channel. Note that you can only move Discord messages within a server; you can't use this bot to move the messages to an entirely different server.
- Once you choose the server you want to move the messages to, the messages will be moved over, and the original messages will be deleted.
- The bot can only move messages with text. If you have messages with images or attached files, you can't use this bot to move them.
