Do you want to share a link to your Instagram profile with others? Getting a link to your Instagram profile is easy, and you can use the mobile app or a web browser on your computer to do it. Once you find the link, you can copy it and paste it into a file, text, note, email, or virtually any app. This article will teach you how to get the URL to your Instagram profile, post, or video on any phone, computer, or tablet.

Getting Your Link on Instagram: Quick Steps

Go to your Instagram profile.
Tap Share profile.
Tap Copy link.
Open a note, message, social media post, or email.
Tap and hold the typing area and select Paste.

You'll find the Profile icon at the bottom-right corner of Instagram. Depending on your version of the app, it will either be your profile photo or an outline of a person.^{[1]

Tap Copy link. This copies your Instagram profile link to your clipboard, making it easy to paste into a text, email, or app.
- If you'd prefer to share a link to your profile without having to copy and paste the link, tap Share profile, then select an app to share with.
- You'll also find a QR code here, which you can add to business cards, flyers, and other printed materials to make it easy for people to find your Instagram profile. To save the QR code, just tap Download.^{[2]

Paste the link. If you copied the link in the previous step, you can easily paste it into a text message, note, email, or social media post. To do so, open the message, post, or file, tap and hold the typing area, and tap Paste.

You can use any web browser to sign in to Instagram on your PC, Mac, or Chromebook and get your Instagram link. If you haven't already signed in, open your web browser and log in to www.instagram.com. Once you're signed in, click Profile on the left side of the page. This takes you to your Instagram profile.^{[3]

Copy your Instagram link. To do this, click the address bar at the top of your web browser, then press Ctrl+C (PC/Chromebook) or ⌘ Cmd+C (Mac) to copy it.
- For example, if your Instagram username is wikiHow, you will see www.instagram.com/wikihow/ in the address bar–that's your Instagram profile link.
Now that you've copied your Instagram link, you can paste it into any document, email, or app. To do so, just click the typing area where you want to add the link, then press Ctrl+V (PC/Chromebook) or ⌘ Cmd+V (Mac).

Go to the post you want to get a link to. If you want to get the link to a photo or video you (or someone else), start by finding the post you want to share. To view your own posts, just tap the profile icon at the bottom-right corner of Instagram, then tap the post.
- If the post is private, it won't be visible to people who don't follow that account.

Tap the paper airplane icon below the post. This opens your phone or tablet's sharing panel.^{[4]

- If you're getting the link to a video and it's currently full-screen, the paper airplane icon is at the bottom-right corner of the video.

Tap Copy Link. This copies the URL of the selected photo or video post to your clipboard, making it easy to paste into any app.
- Alternatively, you can select an app to share the link with, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, or Snapchat.
If you copied the link in the previous step, you can easily paste it into a text message, note, email, or social media post. To do so, open the message, post, or file, tap and hold the typing area, and tap Paste.

Find the post you want to get a link to. You can get the link of any Instagram photo or video post, including your own, when you're signed in to Instagram on your PC, Mac, or Chromebook. If you haven't already done so, log in to www.instagram.com in your preferred web browser, then go to the post you want to link to.
- To view your own posts, click Profile on the left side of the page.

Click Copy link. This copies the link to your computer's clipboard. Now that it's copied, you can paste it anywhere.
- Alternatively, if you want to share the post on Threads, Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, or in an email message, you can select Share to…, then select a sharing method.
To paste the link into a document, email, social media post, or any other type of file or app, click the typing area where you want to add the link, then press Ctrl+V (PC/Chromebook) or ⌘ Cmd+V (Mac).
