How to Watch Initial D without Filler

  1. Other than the 6 main stages, a lot of Initial D’s content is filler, meaning you won’t miss out on anything if you decide not to watch it. The battle stages recap the street races from the main stages, while the extra stages are side stories that focus on Mako Sato and Sayuki. The Legend movies are a retelling of the early stages, condensed into a 70-minute runtime for each movie.[2] So, if you just want to watch the main story, try the streamlined order:
    • Initial D: First Stage (1998)
    • Initial D: Second Stage (1999-2000)
    • Initial D: Third Stage – The Movie (2001)
    • Initial D: Fourth Stage (2004-2006)
    • Initial D: Fifth Stage (2012-2013)
    • Initial D: Final Stage (2014)
    • Note: Since the Legend movies also offer a recap of the series, you could also just watch them instead if you don’t have time to watch the full series.
