  1. Tap the WhatsApp app icon, which looks like a green box with a white speech balloon and a telephone in it. This will open your WhatsApp Chats page if you're logged into WhatsApp.
    • If you aren't logged in, enter your phone number and verify it when prompted before proceeding.
  2. If you aren't seeing status views even though you know that people are viewing your status, you probably need to enable read receipts. The person viewing your status must also have read receipts enabled on their end for you to know if they've read your status. Use the following steps to enable read receipts:[1]
    • Tap in the top-right corner and select Settings.
    • Tap Privacy.
    • Tap the toggle switch next to "Read receipts" to turn it on.

  4. You'll find it at the top of the screen. Doing so opens your status.
  5. This displays the entire status in the full screen.
  6. Alternatively, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen. This will bring up a list of everybody who viewed this Status. The list will be different for every other Status update in your My Status queue.
    • If you see "0" next to the eye-shaped icon at the bottom of the screen, no one has seen your status yet.
    • Even if people see your status immediately, it can take several minutes for views to show up on your side.
    • If you see a green heart on someone's name, that person liked your status.[3]
