    Expert Answer
Be yourself. When it comes to interacting with others, be a good listener. Look people in the eye when they speak and try to not interrupt anyone. If there are any class discussions, try to participate. In the hallways and at lunch, chat with your classmates. So long as you're friendly and respectful, you'll be fine.

    Community Answer
If you feel unsafe or that you can't handle a bully on your own, talk to a parent, teacher, or other trusted adult. If possible, just ignore them. Don't let them make you feel like you're any less of a person. Remember that they're probably being mean because of their own insecurities or because they want to look cool.
