-
Locate the order you’d like to return, click “Order Details,” then “Return Item.” On the “My Orders” page, locate the specific item you’d like to return, advises Thatcher.[3] Then, click “Order Details” to open all of the specifics for that order, like delivery and shipping information. From there, navigate to the “Return Item” button at the bottom of the page to start the process.[4]Advertisement
-
Select your “Reason For Return,” then click “Next Step.” Once you select the item you want to return, you’ll need to indicate the reason for your return, according to Thatcher.[5] You can select one of the options listed below. After you’ve selected your reason for return, click the “Next Step” button to move on to the next page.[6]
- The reasons for return options include:
- Too small or too big
- Lack of accessories
- Poor or faulty fabric quality
- Style doesn’t suit you or you don’t like it
- Arrived too late
- Poor packaging
- Note: Once you click “Next Step,” a text box will pop up saying, “Please be sure ALL items you wish to return have been added to the 'return list' to avoid additional fees.”
- The reasons for return options include:
-
Upload pictures of your item(s). Uploading pictures is required for some of the options that you indicate in the “Reason For Return” menu. When you select your reason for returning the item, you will see “Photos are requested when applying for return” written in red if required. If you do not see it, then uploading pictures is optional.
-
Click on “Return Method.” Select your preferred return method. Depending on where you’re located, the return options may vary. In the U.S., your options are Happy Returns and USPS store drop-offs, or self-return. If you select “USPS,” you can return with a QR Code or a USPS return label. Happy Returns gives you the option of a QR Code, while self-return depends on your logistics provider (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).[7]
- For Happy Returns and USPS store drop-offs with QR Codes, return shipping is free as long as it occurs within the Voluntary Return Window (30 days from the delivery date).
- For the second and following refunds in the same order using a USPS return label, a $7.99 shipping fee will apply.
-
Select your preferred refund method. Your refund method options are “SHEIN wallet” or “Original Payment Account.” SHEIN Wallet takes about 24 hours to make your refund. That money can only be used for your next purchases and will not be refunded to the original payment method. Selecting “Original Payment Account” will refund the money to your bank account within 1-10 days.[8]
-
Click “Submit.” Once you click the submit button, you will get your return label or QR code, depending on the return method you selected. You will also get a confirmation of your return to your email address.[9]
- To locate and download your QR code/return label, head to “My Orders,” click “Returns,” click “Return & Refund Record,” then head to “Details.” Select the label and click “Save the Label.”
-
Send your package back to SHEIN. Print the label or QR code once you’ve saved it. Then, package the item securely and ship it back using the provided label, says Thatcher.[10] You can use a poly mailer or cardboard box and attach the label or QR code to the longest side of your package. Take it to the nearest store or return box, depending on the return method you’ve selected.[11]
-
Expect a refund in 1-10 days after your item passes the quality check. After you return your shipment, which typically takes 5-7 days, SHEIN has to quality check it to make sure it meets return requirements, which takes another 5-7 days. If it passes the quality check, you will receive a refund. Thatcher notes that refunds are typically issued once the return is received and processed.[12] However, your financial institution can take 1-10 days to process it on their end.[13]
- If SHEIN determines that the item isn’t eligible for a return or refund, they will reject the return and refuse to issue a credit or refund.
- In some cases, SHEIN may offer a refund on a rejected-return item instead of sending it back to you, but that depends on order-specific circumstances.
