What is a reverse harem anime?

In a reverse harem anime, the main female protagonist has multiple (usually male) love interests. What does reverse harem mean?

Reverse harem is a genre in which a female protagonist has multiple love interests. This is a very popular trope in anime and Japanese otome (dating) games. In a traditional harem, a man has multiple female lovers, so in a reverse harem, a woman has multiple love interests. These love interests are usually men, but they don’t have to be. Unlike a love triangle, the woman does not choose between the love interests and usually ends up in a relationship with all of them.^{[6]
