This is no ordinary show, however, as he transforms Muriel and Eustace into marionettes. Even after Courage defeats Fusilli, Muriel and Eustace are still puppets. Courage also lets out a disturbing cry of anguish when Eustace succeeds in his plan. Though it’s hinted that the tree will return someday, it’s a pretty sad ending to the episode.[26]
