Are you curious about how much money you’ve spent on Steam games over the years? You can easily check your total spending in just a few clicks. In this article, we’ll show you how to see your spending total as well as a detailed breakdown of your Steam transaction history.

How to See Your Total Spending in Steam

Open the Steam client and click Help at the top of the screen.
Select Steam Support.
Click My Account.
Click Data Related to Your Steam Account.
Click External Funds Used.
Enter your username and password if prompted to do so.
Find your total spending amount in the TotalSpend row.

Open Help in the Steam client. This method allows you to view the total amount of money you’ve spent on your Steam account since you first opened it. Click Help at the top of the Steam client.
- If you’re on a Mac, Help is in the menu bar at the top of your screen when you have Steam open.
It’s at the top of the Help menu. This will take you to the main support page in the Steam Client.

Click External Funds Used. You may need to scroll down to find this option.
- At this point, you may be prompted to enter your username and password for security purposes, even if you’re already logged in. Enter your credentials and verify with two-factor authentication, if necessary.

View your spending history. The total amount of money you’ve spent with your Steam account should be listed at the top, next to the TotalSpend header.
- The data on this page isn’t always current. If you don’t think it reflects your most recent transactions on Steam, you can always compare the amount listed here with your purchase history.

Viewing Your Purchase History

Check your purchase history in the Steam client. There are two ways to see your purchase history on Steam. To do so directly from the client:
- Click Help > Steam Support > My Account.
- Select Data Related to Your Steam Account.
- Click Purchase History.
- You should now see an itemized list of all your past purchases in Steam.
You can also see your purchase history in a browser. Visit store.steampowered.com/account/history and log in to your Steam account if you haven’t done so already. You’ll see a page with a list of every purchase you’ve made on your Steam account.

How can I see the total amount of time I’ve spent on Steam? There are a couple of ways to do this.
- To see how many hours you’ve spent on an individual game, open the Steam client and click Library, then select a game. You should see your Play Time displayed in the bar at the top of the page, below the game banner.
