“Slime you out” was popularized by the Drake and SZA song of the same name in 2023. Like most slang, we’re not totally sure where exactly “slime you out” comes from. Chances are that it was a niche phrase for at least a few years before the song “Slime You Out” dropped (the earliest mention of it in Urban Dictionary is from 2019). However, the phrase really took off in September 2023 when Drake released the track as the lead single for his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs.
- For example, in the song, Drake says, “I'm slimin' you for them kid choices you made.” He’s expressing that he’s been hurt by a partner’s immature “choices” before, and just plans to “slim them out” now as a response.^{[2]
