This can be due to suspicious activity or using an unofficial version of the app. Luckily, WeChat offers an easy solution to unblock your account; you'll just need to authenticate your account using your phone number or a friend's phone number. This wikiHow will show you how to solve a WeChat blocked account problem.

How to Unblock Your WeChat Account

To unblock your WeChat account, use WeChat’s support form. Send a verification code to the number associated with your WeChat account. Follow the instructions included with the code.

Go to the WeChat Account Recovery page. This will take you to a WeChat support form where you can attempt to unblock your account.
- If you registered your WeChat account in Mainland China, click For mobile numbers in Mainland China, tap here to unblock.
- You can only unblock your WeChat account if you have a temporary block.
- If your account has been permanently blocked, your account violated WeChat's Terms of Service, and you won't be able to access your account again (unless you need to withdraw funds). The only way to use WeChat again is to create a new account.
It's how you'll identify your WeChat account. If you don't know your WeChat ID, use your mobile number, email, or QQ ID.

If you try to use a phone number from a virtual network operator like Google Voice, WeChat will not unblock your account. You will need to use a different phone number that's registered to your name through a mobile phone provider.

Ask a WeChat friend to authenticate your account. If you have a friend with a WeChat account, and they've had that account for more than 6 months, they can help authenticate your account. Your friend will need to access their account, search for "WeChat Team" in the app, and select Account > Help Friend Log In.^{[4]

- If you're trying to unblock your account using a friend's WeChat account, and their account has not been active for at least 6 months, they will not be allowed to help you get your account back.
If your account has been registered for less than 14 days, wait until 14 days have passed before you attempt to unblock your account. If it says your phone number is unavailable after 14 days, use a different number to unblock your account.
If you recently used the same phone number to unblock your or another user's account, you may have reached the monthly unblock limit. In this case, you'll need to wait until next month.

WeChat can only be used with the official app. If you download and use WeChat through other means, such as an Android emulator, your account will be blocked.
This includes Google Voice, Vonage, or any other VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service.
This could either be done yourself or by someone with access to your account. If your account is flagged for sending content that violates the ToS, it will be permanently blocked.
