This can be disabled by sending a text to Facebook's shortcode or by adjusting your notification settings in the mobile app or website. Turning Off Facebook SMS Notifications

To stop Facebook SMS texts, text STOP to 32665. This is Facebook's short code for most major carriers. Alternatively, go into your Notification settings on the mobile app to disable text notifications.
