Learn how to get the exact Tama you want in Tamagotchi Paradise
PDF download Download Article

Tamagotchi Paradise is a fun entry into the Tamagotchi line of devices. Your Paradise shell can be connected with other players’ shells to visit, gift, and breed Tamas. We’ll show you exactly how to evolve your Tama from an egg to a Babymarutchi, then go through the Kid, Young, and Adult stages. Which Tama will you create?

Baby Stage to Kid Stage Growth Chart

  1. When a new egg hatches, you’ll have a Babymarutchi. Every 15 minutes, Babymarutchi will get a new field cell based on the field it’s in at that time (land, water, or sky). Once Babymarutchi gets 4 field cells of the same type, it will evolve into the kid stage that matches those field cells: Land Kid, Water Kid, or Sky Kid. (So if you have all the fields unlocked, you can switch your Babymarutchi to a new field to control how it evolves.)[1]
    • The Baby stage typically lasts between 1 and 4 hours.
    • When you first start playing Tamagotchi Paradise, you’ll only have access to the field that matches your shell (or device color). Pink is Land, Blue is Water, and Purple is Sky. You’ll unlock a second field at Planet Level 4 and the third field at Planet Level 6.[2]
    • If you have a Jade Forest device, your fields are Forest, Land, and Water. (Don’t worry, we have the Forest growth chart, too.)
    • You can also turn a Babymarutchi into a BBmarutchi. We’ll show you how to get Bbmarutchi later.

Kid to Young Growth Chart

  1. After 24–48 hours, your Land Kid will evolve into one of four Young: Roar, Toddle, Lick, or Sprout. The food you give your Land Kid determines which of these you’ll get. Here’s what food each one requires:[3]
    • Roar Young: Meat (obtain from Big Meat, Small Meat, and Steak)
    • Toddle Young: Carrot (obtain from Carrots, Shredded Carrots, Apples, and Apple Pie)
    • Lick Young: Worm (obtain from Meal Bugs, Meal Worms, and Bug Cookies)
    • Sprout: Indeterminate diet (Pellets or equal mix of food types; can not evolve into Special Land Tama Chodracotchi)
  2. Your Water Kid can evolve into Glide, Leap, Paddle, and Float. Just like with the Land Kid, the food you give the Water Kid will determine the Young it becomes. Here are the food options for Water Kid:[4]
    • Glide Young: Seafood (obtain from Seafood, Fried Fish, Shellfish, and Grilled Shellfish)
    • Leap Young: Seaweed (obtain from Green Seaweed, Red Seaweed, and Seaweed Salad)
    • Paddle Young: Plankton (obtain from Meal Shrimp, Meal Plankton, and Plankton Dumplings)
    • Float Young: Indeterminate diet (Pellets or equal mix of food types; can not evolve into Special Water Tama Mermarintchi)
  3. A Sky Kid can evolve into Flap, Chirp, Bumble, or Rocky. (Note: On some devices, the names of Flap and Chirp are reversed—Flap is a bat-like Tama and Chirp is more like a chicken.)[5] Here’s what to feed your Sky Kid to get each Young type:[6]
    • Flap Young: Chicken (obtain from Whole Chicken, Piece of Chicken, and Chicken Steak)
    • Chirp Young: Corn (obtain from Corn, Corn Flakes, Cherries, and Cherry Pie)
    • Bumble Young: Syrup (obtain from Flower Syrup, Honey Syrup, and Flower Drops)
    • Rocky Young: Indeterminate diet (Pellets or equal mix of food types; can not evolve into Special Sky Tama Yayacorntchi)

Jade Forest Growth Chart

What are Care Mistakes?

PDF download Download Article
  1. If your Tama’s Health or Happiness meters reach 0, it will beep to get your attention. If you don’t answer, you’ll get a Care Mistake, which looks like a squiggly line. You can see your care mistakes by zooming in on your Tamagotchi to the Tama Cell level.[11]
    • Care Mistakes accumulate throughout the Kid and Young stages—so if you have 2 Care Mistakes with your Sky Kid and 2 Care Mistakes with Flap Young, you’d get Eagletchi (2–5 mistakes).

How do you get Bbmarutchi?

PDF download Download Article
  1. If your Babymarutchi doesn’t have 4 matching fields after 4 hours, it will evolve into Bbmarutchi—an Adult Tama that looks just like Babymarutchi, but bigger. If you really want Bbmarutchi, prevent your Babymarutchi from getting field cells by switching it to a new field right before the 15-minute timer is up. Do this for a solid 4 hours.[12]
    • Bbmarutchi doesn’t evolve into other forms, and it can’t be bred with other Adult Tamas.
    • Alternate way to get Bbmarutchi: Switch fields once, about 35 minutes after your egg hatches (right after its nap). After that, ignore your Tama completely until the 4-hour mark, when it will evolve into Bbmarutchi. This post from Redditor rae90 on r/tamagotchi has a good explanation of why this works.
