   Swift sometimes uses color to hint at upcoming releases. Taylor Swift is known for leaving “Easter eggs” for her fans, which are hidden clues and symbols that tease future projects. In recent years, Swift has embraced her fans’ use of color and has left colorful hints in music videos and even her record-breaking Eras Tour performances. Here are a few of the most notable:

   • “Bejeweled” elevator: In the “Bejeweled” music video, Swift enters an elevator where the color of each button corresponds to the color associated with each of her albums. She pushes the number 3, hinting that Speak Now would be her next Taylor’s Version re-recording.
     • The number 13 is also purple, which shows that Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) would technically be Swift’s 13th album. 13 is also Swift’s favorite number.
   • Flashing Eras Tour bracelets: Fans who attended the Eras Tour were given bracelets that lit up during different parts of the show. Before the announcements of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version), the bracelets respectively flashed purple and blue at the end of the show.
   • The blue Eras Tour costumes: On the night Taylor Swift announced 1989 (Taylor’s Version), she wore blue versions of many of her Eras Tour costumes to get the fans excited.
   • The orange door: At the end of each Eras Tour performance, an orange door appeared on stage. Swift only exited through the door at the final performance, and later revealed the door signified the beginning of a new era—The Life of a Showgirl.
   • Orange lipstick: Taylor Swift joined her now-fiancé, Travis Kelce, on his New Heights podcast to announce her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl. Many fans noted she wore orange lipstick, which matches the era’s color.
