Want to update how you pay for Netflix? Whether you're signed up through Netflix or have a package deal with your carrier or provider, it's easy to update your billing information. Just be sure you have a valid payment method ready. Here's how to update payment information on Netflix.
Changing Your Netflix Payment Method
To change your payment method on Netflix, log in to the Netflix website, select the main profile, and then select Manage Profiles. Click Membership, Manage payment method, and then click Update. Enter your new payment method.
Steps
Using the Website
-
Go to the Netflix Manage payment info page in a web browser. Currently, you can't update your payment method unless you're using the website, or if the Netflix app was downloaded from the Samsung Galaxy store.[1]
- To get to this section from the Netflix homepage, select your profile picture in the top-right corner, and then click Manage Profiles > Membership > Manage payment method.
- If you have Netflix through your carrier or TV/internet provider or carrier, see the next section instead.
-
Select Update. This will be next to the payment method you want to change.Advertisement
-
Select + Add Payment Method. This will allow you to add a new payment method.
-
Enter your payment method information. Input the card number and billing details. If you're using PayPal, you'll be asked to sign in and confirm.[2]
-
Change your preferred method (optional). If Netflix doesn't automatically set the new payment method as your default, do the following:
- Select the three dots next to Update on the new payment method.
- Select Make Preferred.
-
Delete payment methods (optional). If you want to remove any other payment methods saved to your Netflix account, do the following:
- Select the three dots next to Update on the payment method you want to remove.
- Select Remove.
Using a Provider Package
-
Go to your provider's website. If you subscribe to Netflix through a package deal with a carrier or provider, you'll need to manage your payment information through that provider. Here are the following partners that offer a package with Netflix:
- Cox
- Comcast Xfinity
- Comcast Xfinity Package
- DirecTV Package
- Dish Package
- Frontier Package
- Optimum Package
- T-Mobile Package
- Verizon Package
-
Look for your billing information. This will vary for each provider. If you need help, contact your carrier's support team.
-
Add a new payment method to your billing. You should see an option to add a new credit card, debit card, or payment method. Some providers may need you to add a new payment method before you can delete the previous one.
- If you have auto-pay enabled, you may need to disable it before you can update your payment method.
- Once the payment method is updated for your provider, Netflix will be billed accordingly.
