Do you want to rewatch your old Facebook stories? Although stories on Facebook disappear after 24 hours, you can still find your own old stories in your story archive. This wikiHow article teaches you how to view old stories in your Story Archive on your Android, iPhone, iPad, or computer.
How to View Old Facebook Stories
You can view old stories on Facebook if the story archive feature is enabled on your profile. Open your Facebook profile and tap the three-dot button under your cover photo. Go to "Archive" and toggle "Story Archive" on. Tap "Story Archive" at the top and select a story to view it.
Steps
-
Open the Facebook app and tap ☰ or your profile icon. If you are using Android, you’ll see the icon with three lines in the upper-right corner. If you are using an iPhone or iPad, it’s in the lower-right corner. It may have your Facebook profile. This displays the Facebook menu.
- The steps are the same for both Android and iPhones, but the buttons may be in different areas.
- You'll only be able to view old stories if the story archive feature is enabled. If it is not, you won't be able to view your archived stories. To turn it on, go to your profile, then tap the three-dot menu under your profile. Tap Archive and Story Archive, then tap the switch to toggle "Story Archive" on.[1]
- Tap the switch (it'll be colorless and pointing left) to turn it off.
