WeChat, a popular chatting app, utilizes QR codes to speed up the process of adding friends and joining group chats. In this article, we'll teach you how to scan a WeChat QR code, as well as how to find and share your personal QR code and a group chat QR code.

Sharing and Using WeChat QR Codes

To scan a WeChat QR code, open WeChat and tap + > Scan in the upper right corner, or tap Discover > Scan at the bottom of the screen. You can find your personal QR code by tapping Me > your profile picture > My QR Code. Group chat QR codes can be found by opening the group chat settings and tapping Group QR Code.

Personal QR code. Each WeChat user has a personal QR code that can be used to add friends instantly. You can also customize the style of your WeChat QR code to reflect your personality.
- To find your QR code, go to the Me tab, tap your profile picture at the top of the page, then tap My QR Code.^{[3]
