The deeper you get into Steal a Brainrot, the more important it is to make the most of the space you have in your base. One of the best ways to do this is by collecting Brainrots with powerful traits. But how do you know which traits are the best? That’s where we come in. We’re explaining the best traits in Steal a Brainrot, plus how to get them and how they’re different from mutations.

Strawberry (8x multiplier) The Strawberry trait is the most valuable trait in the game, granting a staggering 8x income multiplier. It appears during the Strawberry Event, which can be triggered during Admin Abuse or when a Strawberry Elephant spawns. The Strawberry Elephant is the only Brainrot that spawns on the conveyor belt with the Strawberry trait.^{[1]

Meowl (7x multiplier) The Meowl trait grants a 7x income multiplier. This trait can be granted during the Meowl event, which is triggered when a Meowl spawns or if an admin starts it.
- Event details: During the Meowl event, trees grow around the map with small Meowls perched in them. If a Meowl flies down and touches a Brainrot on the map, that Brainrot will get the Meowl traits.^{[3]

Paint (6x multiplier) The Paint trait gives Brainrots a 6x boost to their income. This trait appears during Admin Abuse or after the Chicleteira Bicicleteira ritual, where two people hold a Chicleteira Bicicleteira to spawn a Los Chicleteiras.^{[4]

- Event Details: The map is flooded, and the conveyor belt becomes a road. Chicleteiras appear all over the map, spraying graffiti. If a Chicleteira spray paints a Brainrot, it will get the Paint mutation and a 6x multiplier.

Brazil (6x multiplier) The Brazil trait is tied at third place with a 6x income increase. It appears during the Brazil events that can be triggered during the Admin Abuse that precedes weekly updates.^{[5]

Fireworks (6x multiplier) The Fireworks (or 4th of July) trait is another trait with a 6x multiplier boost. It’s only available during the 4th of July/Independence Day event.^{[6]

Nyan (6x multiplier) The Nyan trait also increases a Brainrot’s income by 6x. This trait occurs during the Nyan Cat event, which can only be triggered by admin.^{[8]

- Event details: During the Nyan Cat event, the conveyor belt looks like a disco ball and Nyan Cats trailing rainbows fly through the skies. If a Brainrot is hit by a solar flare, it will gain the Nyan trait.

Lightning (6x multiplier) The Lightning trait is also tied for third with a 6x income multiplier. This trait appears during lightning storms, which must be triggered by an admin.^{[9]

- Event details: The sky turns into a galaxy and mygame43 (the creator of the Roblox game Blox Fruits) appears above the Brainrot spawn point. If a Brainrot is hit by lightning, it will get the Lightning trait.
- Brainrot appearance: Brainrots with the Lightning trait get a small glowing dragon that hovers beside them.

Jack O’Lantern (6x multiplier) The Jack O’Lantern trait provides a 6x income multiplier boost. It was only available during the 2025 Halloween Event, so the ones that are out there are all that there will be, at least until Halloween next year. If you have any Brainrots with this trait, hold on to them—or snag one from an unlocked base if you happen to come across it.^{[10]

- Event details: During the Halloween event, a rollercoaster and houses would appear on the map. When this happened, any Brainrot walking on the map could be randomly granted the Jack O’Lantern trait.
- Brainrot appearance: The Brainrot would look like an orange pumpkin with a neon green light inside of it.

How do you get traits in Steal a Brainrot?

Traits are applied to Brainrots during special events. There’s not really much you can do to trigger these events. They’re either spawned by the game’s admin team, or they appear through sheer luck.
- Playing during the weekly Admin Abuse is the best way to boost your chances of participating in an event. These typically take place just before updates.
- For events that are triggered by a certain Brainrot spawning, like Strawberry or Meowl, you can improve your chances by using Robux to buy boosted server luck (but there’s no guarantee one of these Brainrots will appear.

Brainrots can have multiple traits but only one mutation. People sometimes mix up traits and mutations, but they work a little differently. A Brainrot can only have a single mutation, but there’s no limit to the number of traits it can have.^{[11]

- The multipliers from traits and mutations stack. For instance, if you were able to get a Brainrot with Strawberry, Nyan, and Rainbow, that Brainrot’s income would be multiplied by x8, x7, and x10 (or x560).

The best mutation is Rainbow, which has a 10x multiplier. A Brainrot without a mutation has a x1 mutation (meaning its income isn’t changed). Mutation multipliers start at 1.25x, with the most powerful being the Rainbow, which adds a stunning 10x income boost to that Brainrot. Other powerful multipliers include:
- Radioactive: 8.5x
- Yin-Yang: 7.5x
- Galaxy: 7x
- Lava: 6x
