What is Alien Stage?

Alien Stage is a South Korean animated web series set in a dystopian world where humans are enslaved by aliens and forced to sing on a television competition show. The stakes are incredibly high, since the loser of each round is killed on stage. This serves as commentary on the cutthroat pressures and human cost of the entertainment industry, and the series explores themes of exploitation, oppression, moral compromise, and connection.

  • There are no official couples in the series, since the creators want to leave it open to interpretation.
  • Prior to deleting her Twitter account, Vivinos (the creator of Alien Stage) would often like and retweet fan art.
  • Alien Stage saw a massive influx of fans with the release of Round 6, the long-awaited Ivan vs Till battle.
  • BL8M, the voice actor of Luka, co-wrote the songs “Sweet Dream” and “Unknown (Till the End…)” before being cast as Luka.
  • The Segyein (the alien rulers) are named in a way that connects to Korean: “Segyein (세계인)” literally translates to “people of the world.”
