Meet the Twits

What is The Twits?
The Twits is a 2025 animated comedy movie produced by Netflix and the Roald Dahl Story Company. It’s a loose adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book of the same name. The movie was released on October 17, 2025.

What is The Twits about?
The Twits follows two orphans, Beesha and Bubsy, who are struggling to get adopted. Meanwhile, two shady characters named Mr. and Mrs. Twit are ruining their chances by running an illegal theme park that drives away potential adopting families. Beesha and Bubsy hatch a plan to get the Twits arrested, but they eventually get out of jail and plot their revenge, running for town mayor to shut down the orphanage. Beesha and Bubsy must work together, along with the Muggle-Wumps—a family of magical monkey creatures imprisoned in the Twits’ theme park, to put a stop to the villainous couple.

Is The Twits movie the same as the book?
Not really! The movie and the book share the main characters of Mr. and Mrs. Twit, but that’s where the similarities end. The books are more about the Muggle-Wumps as they try to outsmart and escape from the Twits, who are rude and nasty to them.
