Microsoft ended its support for Windows 10 as of October 14, 2025. This means that Microsoft will no longer provide security or feature updates or technical support for Windows 10.[1] However, Microsoft does offer extended lifecycle support for certain versions of Windows 10 LTSC. This wikiHow article teaches you how to download and install Windows LTSC without losing any data. We’ll also answer any questions you have about Windows 10 LTSC.
Where to Download Windows 10 LTSC
Since Microsoft has ended support for Windows 10, many are looking to Windows 10 LTSC, which has extended support until 2027 or 2032, depending on which version you have. You can download an ISO file for Windows 10 LTSC from Internet Archive if you can’t get one from Microsoft. You will need to purchase an activation key.
Steps
Downloading Windows 10 LTSC
-
Get a license for Windows 10 LTSC. Typically, you would need to sign a corporate contract with Microsoft to get a license for Windows 10 LTSC. However, you may be able to purchase an activation key through a third-party supplier, such as Whokeys, or vip-scdkeys. You can also try using an activation script. However, if you are purchasing (or acquiring) a license key from somewhere other than Microsoft, or an official Microsoft partner, do so at your own risk.
-
Download an ISO file for Windows 10 LTSC. There are two versions of Windows 10 LTSC. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, which has support until January 12, 2027, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC, which has support until January 13, 2032. Microsoft no longer provides public links to evaluation versions of Windows 10 LTSC. However, you can download an ISO file from Internet Archive or Massgrave.dev.[2] [3]
Updating to Windows 10 LTSC
-
Understand the risks. Typically, Windows 10 LTSC requires a clean install and does not allow you to update from a standard version of Windows 10 (Home or Pro). Normally, this would erase your hard drive and not allow you to keep your data. However, there are ways you can trick your system into thinking it is updating from Windows 10 LTSC. This will allow you to keep your data and apps (even apps that typically don’t come with Windows 10 LTSC). This is NOT supported by Microsoft, and you could permanently damage your computer operating system. It is recommended that you back up any important data you want to keep before attempting to update to Windows 10 LTSC.
-
Get the language version for your current version of Windows 10. You need to download the exact Windows 10 LTSC ISO file for your current Windows 10 language version.
