books for young teens
my younger sister is a very advanced reader for her age (14) and I'm kind of running out of ideas, she loves fantasy, coming of age novels, she's getting into murder mysteries (sometimes gets nightmares though), adores dystopian, romance is ok she guesses, loves to laugh... any ideas?

Fantasy: The Cruel Prince series, Daughter of the Pirate King, and The Bone Spindle
Coming of Age: Paper Towns, Looking For Alaska, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Murder Mystery: The Thursday Murder Club, You Owe Me A Murder, and You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight
Dystopian: Dry, Scythe, and the Legend Trilogy
Romance: Check and Mate, Nothing Like the Movies, Sick Kids in Love, and Dungeons and Drama
I hope that helps!

I would have to recommend the "Shatter Me" series, by Tahereh Mafi, and the Kathleen Glasgow books, their both angsty, so beware! I wouldn't consider most of them inappropriate, but there is some sexual content, but they are very good, but there are themes of abuse and violence, so since she gets nightmare, i dunno. Hope this helps! <3

If she hasn't already, uglies is a really good book and it has some romance and dystopian vibes to it. I read the first one and have yet to buy the second. but my birthday is around the corner so who knows, maybe my parents will get me it! Anyways, it's really good. some others are wild robot, tripods, and zeroes (although zeroes is a bit more mature, so make sure to look over it before you let her read it!)

If She Likes LGBTQ+ Y/A novels I’d Definitely Recommend “These Witches Don’t Burn” by Isabel Sterling (⚠️: There’s some swear words in it though)
