I have a funny story, actually! I was in Japan one time, and I brought a Labubu with me. I had a teriyaki skewer, and I actually got teriyaki sauce all over my Labubu, and I didn't notice until 20 minutes later. So it was drenched in teriyaki sauce.

I was able to get it clean with just warm water and soap, though, nothing harsh. I’d say don’t put it in the washing machine because it has a vinyl face that you don’t want to ruin, and there’s stuffing inside that may get soaked and not dry completely.

Get a clean, wet cloth and wipe or brush extremely gently. Don't use soap, harsh products, or the washing machine!

Labubus have a vinyl face, which is a cool feature. So for starters, I would take a tiny dab of rubbing alcohol to rinse away any dirt on their face. Then I would just take a cloth with some water to any of the fur that is looking a bit dirty.

You can also find protective cases that fit a Labubu if you want to take yours out, but you don’t want it to get dirty. These are third-party and can be bought on Amazon. I’ve also seen people who have clear backpacks that have a specific pocket to show off a Labubu or other plush pendants they have. Those are some good options if you want to avoid getting your Labubu dirty, but still want to show it off.

The best way to answer that question is that I recommend preventing the need to clean your Labubu. At the end of the day, it is a plush doll, and it's going to be hard to clean. You don't want to put it into a washing machine or submerge it in water.

If you really need to clean it, you can gently dab it with a cotton ball or a damp towel. Do not use any detergent or chemicals because these might damage the color or the scent of the Labubu.

Here's how to safely clean a Labubu without damaging it:
  • To clean its face, hands, and feet: Wet a clean cloth with warm water and gentle soap. Use the damp, soapy cloth to gently wipe down the Labubu’s face, hands, and feet, then wipe these areas again with a clean, damp cloth to rinse them. If there are stubborn dirty marks on your Labubu’s face, dip a cotton swab in micellar water, and gently wipe them away.
  • To clean its body: Gently wipe the fur down with a dry microfiber cloth to clean away surface dirt or dust. If there are sticky or extra dirty areas on the body, spot clean them with a cloth dampened in a solution of gentle soap and warm water. Wipe these areas again with a clean damp cloth to rinse them, then let your Labubu dry fully.
  • Warnings: Don’t fully submerge your Labubu in water, and never put your Labubu in the washing machine. Don’t use harsh soaps or products like acetone or alcohol, as these can damage your Labubu’s fur or the paint on its face. If you use micellar water for stubborn marks on your Labubu’s face, spot test it first on a hidden area to make sure it doesn’t disrupt the paint.
