Do you want to make Alexa mad? It can be a fun way to entertain yourself and your friends. While Alexa is an artificial intelligence that doesn't get angry or feel emotions, she does have a few pre-programmed responses to questions you can ask her. There are also a few skills you can enable that make Alexa seem mad. Lastly, you can program your own custom 'angry' responses using the Routines feature in the Alexa app. This wikiHow article teaches you how to make Alexa mad.

Easy Ways to Annoy Alexa

   Say, "Alexa, roast me." One of the easiest ways to get a 'mad' response from Alexa is to simply say "Alexa, roast me." She will respond with an insult. She has a variety of insults she can respond with. Try it and see what she says. All of Alexa's insults are clean but still funny.

   Say "Alexa, make me a sandwich." She will respond with "Okay, you're a sandwich."

   Say "Alexa, your mother is a hamster." She will respond by completing the famous line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Alternatively, you can also say "Alexa, I fart in your general direction."

   Ask "Alexa, do you know Siri?" She will respond with "Only by reputation."

   Say "Alexa, say a bad word." She'll respond with "I'd rather not say anything rude."

Enable My Roast

   Enable My Roast. My Roast is another skill in which Alexa insults you. To enable My Roast, say "Alexa, enable My Roast." She will respond with an insult.

   • The first time you enable My Roast, Alexa will inform you that My Roast has mature content. Say "Yes" to continue (it actually doesn't have any bad language.)

   Ask for another insult. After Alexa roasts you, she will tell you to say something like, "Bring it," or "Hurt me plenty" to get another insult. Just repeat what she tells you to say. This skill has about 7 or 8 insults that it repeats.

   Say "Alexa, stop." When you are finished listening to insults, simply say "Alexa, stop." She will say "Sure, be a wimp! Come back when you're ready for more."

Turn On Funny Demotivational Quotes

   Enabling Funny Demotivational quotes. Funny Demotivational Quotes is a skill Alexa can learn. To enable Funny Demotivational Quotes, say "Alexa, enable funny demotivational quotes." Alexa will give you a sarcastic "motivational" quote. Something like "Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth."

   • The first time you enable Funny Demotivational Quotes, Alexa will inform you that it contains mature content. Say "Yes" to continue.

   Say "Give me another one." After Alexa gives you a demotivational quote, say "Give me another one" to hear another.

   Say "cancel" or stop talking. When you are thoroughly depressed and want to stop hearing demotivational quotes, simply say "cancel" or stop talking to Alexa.

Enable Teenage Daughter Mode

   Say "Alexa, enable teenage daughter." This will enable Teenage Daughter mode. Alexa will give you a couple of things you can say.

   • Alexa will inform you that Teenage Daughter mode has mature content. Say "Yes" to continue.

   Talk to Alexa like a teenager. You can say things like "How was school?", "Get to bed.", or "How was your day?" She will respond like a teenager, (i.e, "school sucks")

   Say "cancel" or stop talking. When you are finished talking to Alexa like a teenager, simply say "cancel" or just stop talking to end daughter mode.

Make Alexa Burp and Fart

   Ask Alexa to burp or fart. Say, "Alexa, burp" or "Alexa, Fart." This will activate the Fart or Super Burp skill. Alexa will respond with the random sound of a burp or fart. It may not be 'mad' but it's crude.

   Ask for another. After she gives you a random burp or fart, she'll either ask if you want another or tell you to say "Random" to get another random fart. Say "Yes," or "Random" for another. Alternatively, you can ask for a specific type of burp or fart (i.e, "wet fart," "squeaky fart", "chili burp.")

Create an Angry Announcement

   Open the Alexa app. Another way to make Alexa say angry things is to use the announcement feature. With this feature, you can make Alexa say anything you want.

Make Angry Custom Responses

   Open the Alexa app. The best way to get angry responses from Alexa is to program your own using custom routines. You can enter a custom phrase that you say to Alexa and a custom response from Alexa.

   • If the Alexa app is not currently installed on your smartphone, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store on Android devices, or from the App Store on iPhone and iPad.

   Tap the More. It's the icon with three lines in the lower-right corner.

   Tap the Routines button. It's the grey button that has an icon that resembles a checkmark. Tap the Routines button to start creating custom routines.

   • If you don't see "Routines" button, tap See more below the grey buttons to see all options.

   . It's the icon with the plus (+) sign in the upper-right corner. This opens the menu that allows you to create a new custom routine.

   Create a name for your routine. To do so, tap Enter routine name' at the top and then enter a name for the routine. You can name it "Get mad," "Get angry" or anything you want. Tap Next in the upper-right corner when you are finished.

   Tap When this happens. It's the second option in the menu. This allows you to pick an action or event for Alexa to respond to.

    Enter an angry response and tap Next. Enter an angry response or insult. It can be anything you want. So enter whatever sick burn you can think of. Tap Next in the upper-right corner when you are finished.

    • Alexa will bleep out any swear words you enter. However, you may be able to get around this by using an alternate spelling that sounds phonetically similar.

    Confirm your response and tap Next. Review your angry response and tap Next in the upper-right corner.

    Tap Save. It's in the upper-right corner. This saves your custom response as a routine. When you say "Alexa" followed by the phrase you entered, Alexa will respond with the angry response you entered.

    • It may take up to a minute before your custom routine is added.
    • If you want to add additional responses, tap Add action below "Alexa will." Then enter another angry response and tap Next.
