Need to delete a payment method from your Whatnot account? Removing a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or Venmo account from Whatnot is easy as long as you've added at least one other payment method. In this article, we'll show you how to remove a payment method from Whatnot on your Android, iPhone, or iPad, and help you troubleshoot any problems that arise.

Quick Steps

Tap Account at the bottom of Whatnot.
Tap Payments & Shipping.
Tap the payment method type you want to remove.
To remove a card, tap Edit, then tap the X on the card.
To remove a different payment method, select and unlink it.

Tap Account at the bottom of the Whatnot app. You can remove a payment method from Whatnot using your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet as long as you have another payment method attached to your account. If you haven't added another payment method yet, jump down to Adding a New Payment Method.
- If you're using a computer, you can update your payment method by clicking your profile icon at the top right and navigating to Payments & Shipping > Payments > Update. There's no way to remove a payment method on a computer–you can only update your credit or debit card.

Tap the payment method type you want to remove. For example, to remove a credit card from Whatnot, tap Credit or Debit Card.

Tap Edit above your payment methods. As long as you have more than one payment method added to Whatnot, you will see a red X on the payment method you want to remove.^{[2]

Tap X on the card you want to remove and confirm. Once you remove a payment method from Whatnot, your default payment method will update to the other option on file.
- Alternatively, if you want to remove a PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, or Google Pay account from Whatnot, tap the account name, then follow the on-screen instructions to unlink it from the app.

Tap Account at the bottom of the Whatnot app. It's easy to add a new payment method to Whatnot on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.^{[3]

Tap Payments & Shipping. You'll see this option under the "Account" heading.

Tap the pencil icon next to "Add Payment Method." A list of payment method types will appear.

Select the payment method you want to add to Whatnot. Accepted payment types include credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay (iPhone/iPad), Google Pay (Android), and Venmo.
- You can use Klarna and Affirm to shop for certain items on Whatnot, but you cannot add your Klarna or Affirm account as a payment method in advance.^{[4]

Add your payment details. If you are adding a card, enter your card details, then tap Save payment method. To use a payment service like PayPal, Venmo, Google Pay, or Apple Pay, choose your preferred option, and follow the on-screen instructions to link your account.

Why can't I remove a payment method on Whatnot?

There are a few reasons why you aren't able to remove a payment method.
- You must add a new payment method to Whatnot before deleting an existing one. Once you've added a payment method to Whatnot, your account must have at least one payment method at all times. You won't be able to delete a card or unlink a payment service like PayPal from Whatnot until you've added a replacement.
- If you're using a computer, you can only update your payment method. The Whatnot website only allows you to update an existing payment method or switch to a different payment method you've already added.

Contact Whatnot support if you need more help. If you don't have another payment method to add, Whatnot support can help you remove cards and most other payment methods (except Apple Pay).^{[5]
