Why Is November 6th Stranger Things Day?
November 6th has been deemed as Stranger Things Day because, in the show, Will Byers disappears on November 6th, 1983. Will’s disappearance “freezes” the Upside Down in time and basically kicks off the whole plot of the show, making it a significant date in the Stranger Things universe.
Since the premiere of Stranger Things, fans have taken to commemorating November 6th each year as a day to celebrate and participate in Stranger Things activities. The creators of the show—the Duffer Brothers—and Netflix have also recognized the date as a fun day to celebrate the series, release bonus content, and update fans on upcoming releases or events.
