Unfavoriting Fruits in Grow a Garden

To unfavorite a fruit in your inventory, open your inventory and right-click (computer) or long-press (mobile) to unfavorite it.
On console, hold the fruit, then press L2 (PlayStation) or LT (Xbox).
To unfavorite a fruit with the Favorite Tool, aim the Favorite Tool at the fruit and use the tool.

Unfavoriting in Your Inventory

To do this, select the backpack icon in the upper-left part of the screen. It's next to the settings icon and where you open the chat. The backpack icon is in the same spot no matter if you're playing on a computer, phone, tablet, or console.
Scroll through your inventory until you find the crop in your inventory. Any crop that is favorited will have a small red heart in the corner of its icon.

Unfavorite the crop with a button press. This is the same button press as favoriting the crop. Here's how to do it on every platform:
- Computer: Right-click on the crop to unfavorite it.
- Phone/tablet: Long press on the crop to unfavorite it.
- Console (PS4, PS5, Xbox): Hold the fruit in your hand, then press L2 (PlayStation) or LT (Xbox) to remove it as a favorite.^{[1]

If you favorited a crop with the Favorite Tool, you'll see a heart icon on the fruit. You won't be able to collect this fruit unless you unfavorite it with the Favorite Tool.

- The Favorite Tool can be purchased in the Gear Shop for 20 million Sheckles or 119 Robux.
- Each Favorite Tool can be used 20 times before you need to buy a new one.

Point the Favorite Tool at the crop and use the tool. Here's how you do that on every platform:
- Computer: Left-click when hovering over the crop.
- Phone/tablet: Tap on the fruit when hovering over it.
- PS4/PS5: Click the touchpad, then drag your finger on the touchpad to hover the crop. Press X to use the tool.
- Xbox: Click the Toggle View button to pull up the cursor, then use the thumbstick to hover the crop. Press A to use the tool.

Why are my unfavorited fruits favorited when I restart the game? You may be running into a bug with the Favorite Tool. If this is the case, try unfavoriting the crop on a different device (i.e., using your phone instead of your computer). Some users have found that this works as a workaround.^{[3]

Can other players steal my favorited fruit? Yes, other players may still be able to steal your favorited fruit. Favoriting a fruit only makes it so you can't sell or harvest your own crops.

What's the point of favoriting? Favoriting keeps you from accidentally selling a crop you don't want to sell, and also keeps you from picking a fruit that you want to leave in your field for a while. You may want to leave a fruit in your field so it can get a particular mutation (such as AncientAmber). Favorited fruits can also help if you're growing for mutations, especially if you have the Spinosaurus pet.
