Why Is DoorDash Not Working?

If your DoorDash app isn't working, you may be running an older app version, have a faulty connection, or have a software bug. To fix it, check your internet connection, restart the app and your device, and reinstall the DoorDash app if necessary.

  1. For best experience, connect to a stable Wi-Fi network when using the DoorDash app. You can use your cellular data, but you may be slower depending on your signal.
    • Make sure Airplane Mode is disabled. This will turn off both your cellular and Wi-Fi connections.
  2. This can usually fix minor software bugs. To restart your device, hold down the Power button, and select Power off from the menu. Wait 30 seconds, and then hold the Power button to turn your device on again.
    • Alternatively, swipe down from top to access Quick Settings and tap the power button at bottom-right or top-right corner, then tap Power off from the menu.

  3. If you don't have automatic updates enabled, you'll need to do so manually. Do the following:
    • Open the Google Play Store.
    • Tap your profile icon.
    • Tap Manage apps & device.
    • Tap See details.
    • Tap Update next to DoorDash or DoorDash - Dasher.
  4. Make sure you know your account information before doing so. Tap your profile icon in the bottom-right corner. Tap Manage Account, and then Log out. Wait a few seconds, and then enter your login information again.
  5. If you're a dasher, there may be issues with DoorDash's navigation. You can select a different navigation app to use with DoorDash. Make sure you have any third-party navigation apps downloaded and updated. Do the following:
    • Navigate to your Account tab.
    • Tap Settings.
    • Select a navigation app.
  6. If you don't see any available updates, you can uninstall DoorDash completely and reinstall it again to make sure you have a clean copy. Do the following:
    • Open the Google Play Store.
    • Tap your profile icon.
    • Tap Manage apps & devices.
    • Tap Manage.
    • Tap DoorDash or DoorDash - Dasher.
    • Tap Uninstall.
    • Wait for it to uninstall.
    • Tap Install.
  7. If you're running an older version of Android, you may have trouble running certain apps. To check, do the following:
    • Open the Settings app.
    • Tap System.
    • Tap Software update.
    • Tap Update.
  8. You can check DownDetector for any reported outages for DoorDash. If there's a current issue, you should see a spike of reports in the graph.
