QuestionWhere is the Lake of the Moone located?
Acebob11Community AnswerThe Lake of the Moone is on Ula'ula Island. From the north end of Ula'ula Meadow, turn right instead of continuing north to Route 17; after a brief walk through the grass, you will arrive at the lake. Note that in the regular game world, this exact location is known as the Altar of the Sunne. -

QuestionAfter obtaining Solgaleo, will I receive Lunala or another Solgaleo?
Community AnswerYou need to return to the Altar of the Sunne/Moone in Poni Canyon at the correct in-game time (day for Pokémon Sun, night for Pokémon Moon). Your Solgaleo will open a rift to an alternate dimension. Travel to the Lake of the Sunne/Moone on Ula'ula Island. There, your Solgaleo will interact with a newly appearing Lunala, and you will receive a Level 5 Cosmog. -
QuestionI play Pokémon Moon, but when it's daytime in real life, it's also daytime in Pokémon Moon, which is supposed to only happen in Pokémon Sun. What should I do to open the rift?
Community AnswerIf the rift is present, you should go through it. If it is not, check your 3DS system settings, as your console's internal clock might be set incorrectly. -
QuestionCan you get two Lunala?
BAI NARUOSHUI HCICommunity AnswerYes, you can, if you are playing Pokemon Moon. The first is when you get it from Lillie, and the second one is when you evolve Cosmoem. -
QuestionIt’s night in real life and I finished the game, Lunala is in my party, but there is no Cosmog.
BAI NARUOSHUI HCICommunity AnswerEven though it might be night in real life, it might not be night in the Nintendo 3DS. You can try tweaking the time in the system. -
QuestionMy Cosmog in Pokémon Sun evolved into Solgaleo again. Can I obtain Lunala through this method?
VerinTop AnswererNo. In Pokémon Sun and Ultra Sun, Cosmoem will always evolve into another Solgaleo. To get both Solgaleo and Lunala, you must trade for the legendary Pokémon from the opposite game version. -
QuestionI've followed all the steps to get Cosmog, but the expected cutscene isn't triggering. What could be wrong?
VerinTop AnswererYou need to have Solgaleo, Lunala, or their Necrozma fusions (Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings) in your party for the cutscene to trigger at the Altar. Without one of these, you won't be able to approach the center. Also, confirm you haven't already collected Cosmog, as you can only obtain it once per game. -
QuestionI'm at the Lake of the Moone in Pokémon Moon, and it says I sense a presence, but I don't see Cosmog. What should I do to get Cosmog?
VerinTop AnswererTo obtain Cosmog, you must have either Solgaleo or Lunala, or Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma, in your party. Without one of these Pokémon, the event will not trigger. -
QuestionCan you make the game think it's night time in real life, or do you have to wait?
VerinTop AnswererYou would have to change your system clock as the game determines the time of day/night based in that. Be careful though, as changing your clock will temporarily suspend time based in-game events such as the stocks in the Festival Plaza shops (this also affects any games downloaded to your system simultaneously, and you will need to open each of them individually in order to reset the suspension). -
QuestionHow do you get to the reverse world?
VerinTop AnswererFirstly, you have to be playing Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon. Second you need to have Solgaleo, Lunala, or Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma in your party. After that, just go up to the rift where you would normally initiate an Ultra Warp Ride, and select "Go to the reverse world". Something to point out is that you can only visit the reverse world at night in Ultra Sun, and only during the day in Ultra Moon. -
QuestionHow can you catch Cosmog in Pokemon Ultra Sun?
VerinTop AnswererYou have to go to Lake of the Moone in the reverse world, with Solgaleo in your party (must be Solgaleo, Lunala and/or Necrozma will do nothing). For Ultra Moon, it would be the Lake of the Sunne in the reverse world with Lunala in your party.
