  1. The original series include Ruby Anderson and Skyler Bradshaw. These dolls are the core characters in the Rainbow High Universe, and they all attend Rainbow High. They have their own studies, personalities, interests, and—most importantly—fashion aesthetics! Each of the first six dolls corresponds with a basic color of the rainbow, while Avery Styles has a metallic vibe and Amaya Raine’s looks contain the entire rainbow![1]

  1. In Series 3, we got six new dolls to add to our core collection of beloved characters. These six fashion dolls all expand on the Rainbow High color collection, as they correspond to specific shades of basic rainbow colors: rose, peach, marigold yellow, mint green, ice blue, and orchid purple.[3]

Rainbow High Series 4

  1. Series 4 of the Rainbow High doll line introduced six additional characters as students at Rainbow High. Like the previous releases, each of these characters embodies a specific shade of a basic rainbow color: burgundy red, saffron orange, buttercup yellow, emerald green, cobalt blue, and mauve purple. This is also the first inclusive series, where the dolls possess unique features (i.e., vitiligo) or come from underrepresented backgrounds (i.e., South Asian heritage).[4]

Rainbow High Series 5

  1. Series 5 introduced six new characters that all study at Rainbow High and have become main characters alongside the original releases. The design of this series focuses on creative accessories, so each doll comes with a fun item—such as a sewing machine, makeup palette, phone, or blow dryer.[5]

Rainbow High Special Edition

  1. The first special edition dolls—Kia Hart, Laurel De’Vious, and Holly De’Vious—were released simply as special edition additions to the main doll line. However, the later special edition dolls all belonged to their own special edition collection, including Rockstars, Slumber Party, and Shadow High Special Edition.[6]

  1. The Collector Edition Rainbow High dolls are split into two categories: original collector’s dolls and Celebration Edition dolls. There are four original Collector Edition dolls, but only one Celebration Edition doll. The Celebration Edition doll is Maria Garcia, who was designed to honor the traditions of Día De Los Muertos.[7]

Rainbow High Littles

  1. The Rainbow High Littles include Blush Parker and Opal Raine. This collection of dolls is designed to look like little kids, rather than the original adolescent characters. All of the Littles characters are younger siblings of the original core dolls. For example, Sapphire Bradshaw is the younger sister of Skyler Bradshaw, Daisy Madison is the younger sister of Sunny Madison, etc. Some of these dolls were also released as Fantasy Fairies, such as Apple Anderson (the younger sister of Ruby Anderson).[8]

Rainbow High Rainbow Vision

  1. The Rainbow Vision collection was inspired by the real-life Eurovision Song Contest. Similarly, in the Rainbow High universe, Rainbow Vision is a music battle between the different high schools that the dolls attend. The doll collection features three bands: The Rainbow Divas (an R&B group), Neon Shadow (a rock band), and The Royal Three (a K-pop trio).[10]

  1. The first series of Sparkle & Shine dolls introduced four new characters. Each of these dolls has see-through legs that are filled with colorful liquid glitter. Similarly, the second series of Sparkle & Shine dolls has four characters, all of whom have transparent legs filled with sparkly bubbles. Over the entire collection, eight new signature doll colors were introduced: soft rose pink, tangerine orange, marine blue, lavender, fandango pink, coral red, dark teal, and cream white.[11]
