Yuji Itadori’s unnamed domain expansion recreates his hometown. In perhaps his most impressive feat during the final battle against Ryomen Sukuna, Yuji—Jujutsu Kaisen’s noble protagonist—finally unleashed his domain expansion. Fittingly, it’s very unique: the domain expansion creates an environment that is a perfect mimicry of Yuji’s hometown, including significant landmarks, buildings, and even animals.

- The Dismantle attack itself is powerful, too. Many attacks are only skin-deep, designed to hurt a person physically—but Dismantle goes even further. It inflicts extreme levels of pain and damage to a person’s soul, which is much harder to heal.
- Combined with the fact that Yuji’s Dismantle attacks are guaranteed to hit inside his domain, getting to attack from a distance is a significant advantage.

A domain expansion is the pinnacle of any jujutsu sorcerer’s techniques. Using one draws the user and their opponents into a physical barrier, behind which is a space or environment (a bit like a pocket dimension) imbued with the user’s power. Jujutsu users can manifest a domain expansion by expanding their innate domain with cursed energy, weaving their cursed technique into the fabric of the barrier itself.^{[4]

- Lethal domains - These domains are manifested with the intention for them to be lethal (deadly) to enemies. That’s why the cursed technique attacks made inside them can’t miss, and the user’s cursed technique is embedded into the barrier around the domain.
- Non-lethal domains - These domains are manifested without the intention of being deadly to enemies; their function is to force the people inside to follow the rules of the specific cursed technique embedded into the barrier.
- Incomplete domains - These domains are manifested with cursed energy, but don’t have a technique embedded into them (and may or may not have a barrier). Casters get enhanced cursed techniques without the added benefit of attacks that can’t miss.

As impressive as they are, a jujutsu sorcerer must consider the risks and rewards of using a domain expansion—because manifesting one costs a huge amount of cursed energy. Users are typically exhausted after using a domain expansion just once in a day, and attempting to use a cursed technique inside a domain that’s unstable will actually burn it out!

- Unlimited Void (Satoru Gojo) - With this domain, Gojo can trap targets inside the Limitless, where they’re unable to move while being flooded with endless droves of information.
- Horizon of the Captivating Skandha (Dagon) - This domain is a sandy beach. Inside it, Dagon can control the waters, as well as a school of fish-like shikigami.
- Self-Embodiment of Perfection (Mahito) - Mahito can manipulate the souls of anyone inside his domain without contact (where he normally must be touching them).
- Chimera Shadow Garden (Megumi Fushiguro) - This domain fills the area with thick, moving shadows, while simultaneously manifesting shikigami from those shadows.
- Deadly Sentencing (Hiromi Higuruma) - This domain is themed like a courtroom, with Higuruma’s target being the one put on trial. Violence is forbidden—and if someone is deemed guilty, they’re sentenced by an entity called Judgeman.
- Kinji Hakari (Idle Death Gamble) - This domain is pachinko-themed. Everyone inside is thrust into a gambling game—and Hakari gets a significant boost of unlimited cursed energy if he wins the game.
- Time Cell Moon Palace (Naoya Zenin) - In this domain, targets get hit with animation frames—and are forced to follow the 24 FPS (frames per second) rule. If they don’t, the cells in their bodies get frozen, heavily damaging them.
- Womb Profusion (Kenjaku) - This domain manifests as a pillar of cursed spirits lethal enough to destroy targets with its guaranteed-hit effect.
- Threefold Affliction (Yorozu) - This domain consists of an empty space with strange, mushroom-like objects floating through the air. All of Yorozu’s constructed attacks will hit in the domain.
