How to Convert Your PDF File into a Solidworks File

  1. In Solidworks, click File in the top-left corner of the menu bar.
  2. Click Open near the top of the drop-down menu.
  3. Double-click the PDF file you want to convert.
  4. Click Save in the top-left corner and name your file.
  5. Click the drop-down box underneath the file name.
  6. Select the SLDASM or SLDPR file extension in the drop-down.
  7. Click Save in the bottom-right corner.
